Tiger  Eye bead, a kind of  quartz, discovered in Brazil,  Australia, India, Myanmar and South Africa. It’s a natural stone featuring a number of unique attributes, such as the general properties, composition and appearance. Chatoyant quartz is available in many colors;   So Tiger eye jewelry beads have the color of brown, while others are green,  blue and red.

Component

Tiger Eye bead is constructed of  oxygen and silicon, two parts oxyen to one part silicon . It’s also known as the pseudomorph, or, as described by Cally Oldershaw from the book “the result of one mineral replacing some other,”  gemstone  of the World” . Tiger  Eye is a pseudomorph of crocidolite. The gemstone is made from fabric of quartz, and this generate its vivid, and special look. And its layers of fibers, stone features a trigonal clear crystal  system.

General Properties

From the Mohs’ Firmness Range, Tiger Eye rank a seven. Featuring its structure of oxygen and silicon, it really is categorized to be a silicate. Tiger  Eye is another natural stone which is proof agaijewelry beads 2tiger eye beads Introduce to Tiger Eye Beadnst breaks inside the structure, which makes it a durable gemstone. Several Tiger’s Eye items can be semi-translucent, enabling some brightness to go through the stone, but some other are opaque, allowing no light go through. For the purpose of jewelry making , the ston is best displayed in the cabochon cut, allowing for a number of shades and fibers to get reflected perfectly. A cabochon cut is commonly a round or square shape that has a domed surface.

Appearance

The stone’s shimmering and layered visual appearance, as previously mentioned, is mainly due to its layers of various fibers; even so, inside the rough, these kinds of gemstones don’t have the shine and color difference often from the stone, because the fibers are hidden. These fibers are exposed through the cutting process, enabling the known appearance to appear. Tiger  Eye is often a yellowed and brown colored gemstone, often with colors of gray or red. The shade of Tiger Eye jewelry bead appears in a natural way, even though some other styles of chatoyant quartz are classified as the result of acid or heat treatments.  Th brown colors occur at the process of oxidation, the stone goes through as part of its change from crocidolite to quartz.

Design Possibilities

Rose quartz is typically a cloudy translucent pink or slightly peach color. The violet of amethyst, either light or dark, is close to pink on the color wheel, and makes for a lovely two-color scheme set in silver. For a beautifully cool split-complementary color scheme, match rose quartz with grass-green peridot and frosty blue-green amazonite. For a light and airy look, mix rose quartz with sparkling clear quartz.

History/Background

Rose quartz came to be known as the stone of love and reconciliation from the Greek myth about Aphrodite and Adonis. Their blood was commingled when Aphrodite was cut by a thorn bush while saving Adonis from an attack by Ares (disguised as a wild boar). Their blood stained white quartz to make it a rose-pink color. Later, it became customary for the Romans to use the stone as a gift of love.

Metaphysical/Healing Properties

Rose quartz is associated with love, the heart and beauty, and is thought to be a healing aid for the heart chakra. Imbalances of this chakra have been said to cause colds, allergies and psychosomatic illnesses. When in balance, the heart chakra is thought to make one open to love and compassion. Some believe that rose quartz has calming effects and helps people develop strong friendships.

Scientific Description

Quartz includes a large group of minerals based on silicon dioxide. Rose quartz is a macrocrystalline form, as are amethyst, aventurine and citrine. It is a milky pink color, often crackled. It is found mainly in large clumps. Only rarely is it found in single crystal form. It is believed that the pink color is due to a small amount of titanium.

The Pearl , having grown at the hinge of the clam, is undoubtedly one of the largest pearls in the world. Up until now, it has been virtually unknown and only has been recently named.

This large pearl below, which is partly fossilized, is also from the giant clam and still attached to the shell. Boy, these clams must enjoy making pearls! Since the large clams never leave their resting place or move, maybe that makes them more prone to grow pearls.
